The Galesa soundtrack was created for the film GALESA [2015], which is about ‘identity and determination that proves the pioneering spirit of the original Welsh settlers still exists within their descendants’. The film and commission celebrated 150 years since the first Welsh landing in Patagonia.

The music, created by Tic Ashfield & Benjamin Talbott, uses immersive textural soundscapes, along with high-paced beats to evoke the landscape of Patagonia. The soundtrack won the BAFTA Cymru award for ‘Best Soundtrack’ in 2017.
